In the awarding ceremony performed after the game, certificates of merit, certificates of the prize and a championship cup were presented to the players.

A part of the championship prize or five million yen will be donated to elementary and junior high schools all over Japan to purchase Go sets.

Commendation of Champion pair

The champion pair was awarded in the ceremony. A certificate of commendation was awarded by the Japan Pair Go Association and handed by Mr.Yoshikuni Chairman of the Japan Pair Go Association.

The Ricoh Cup was awarded by Mr.Hiroshi Hamada Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

A certificate of commendation was awarded by the Yomiuri Shimbun and handed by Mr. Jiroumaru, Manager of the Business Development Department Manager of the Yomiuri Shimbun.

"The real enjoyment in pair Go is the creation of a Go game in cooperation with one's partner. Recently, I easily give way in ordinary Go games. Thanks to Ms. Inori, however, I was able to avoid such failure in this championship," said the 25th Honinbo Chikun.

"Mr. Cho played as seriously as he does in title match. I was glad about this," said Ms. Inori with a smile.

The runner-up pair was awarded in the ceremony. A certificate of commendation was awarded by Mr.Yoshikuni Chairman of the Japan Pair Go Association
