Iso Ko 7-dan said, ‘Umezawa san was leading me well and without being nervous, I played the games as usual.’
Umezawa Women’s Kisei said, ‘I haven’t won two games in a row for a long time. The cause of winning may be that since I am older, I don’t know why but I could seize power (laugh) and felt comfortable.’ |

Ogawa 6-dan said, ‘Hane san, I heard that percentage of winning in Pair Go is low but how do you feel to win twice?’
Hane 9-dan said, ‘Winning twice … feels very good.’ (laugh)
Aoki 8-dan said, ‘Hane sensei plays smoothly so I felt relaxed and could play bad moves smoothly’ (audience laughed).

Koichi Kobayashi 9-dan said, ‘Ayumi chan won 9 times pairing with U Cho kun, last year and the year before. I thought I must do my best. Today, I let her play freely.’ (laugh)
Suzuki Women’s Saikyo said, ‘Koichi sensei’s plan and aim were easy to understand so I played comfortably.’
Ogawa 6-dan said, ‘Are you aiming to win the tournament?’
Kobayashi 9-dan said, ‘Win? I don’t know about that. (laugh)’ |

Cho Judan said, ‘Recently, I can’t win alone so…Ah, I can win alone, now. (He has just chosen to be a challenger of Kisei Title Match. Everyone laughed) Today, my partner did well.’Osawa 3-dan said, ‘Today, it was a game of getting over difficulties but I felt safe because Chikun sensei will get over it!’
