I extend my congratulations to the Japan Pair Go Association on organising the Pair Go World Festival 2025 at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.

　Pair Go uniquely combines the ancient wisdom of Go with the values of gender equality and partnership. An international competition with this innovative format not only promotes the strategic depth of Go but also fosters international friendship and cultural exchange.

　I am pleased that a Singaporean pair will be represented at this event. Their participation reflects the strong cultural ties between Singapore and Japan, as well as our shared appreciation for mind sports that enhance cognitive abilities and promote mutual understanding across cultures. This contributes to the strong people-to-people ties that continue to connect our nations.

　I wish all participants an enriching experience at the event, and I look forward to the continued growth of Pair Go both in Singapore and internationally.
